The message…

Rambling thoughts make their way to a short blog today:

1. If we put rule keeping over the grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we might need to rethink His purpose in our lives.

2. If we think a gimmick is needed to keep people’s attention to a homily-filled diluted version of the Gospel, we might have lost focus of what the undiluted Gospel truly is about. It’s not about being a better person or having a better life, marriage, job, etc. It’s about God’s love for us. When I was saved, God sees Jesus standing in my place. Not because of anything I did or could ever do, but because of what Christ did.

“It is finished” is our victory cry through Him, not a cry of defeat! (John 19:30)

Sola Fide – by faith alone
Sola Scriptura – by Scripture alone
Solus Christus – through Christ alone
Sola Gratia – by grace alone
Soli Deo Gloria – glory to God alone
